JERUSALEM -ANCIENT CITY OF MYSTERY

Jerusalem, Jerusalem, city that kills the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! These are the words of Jesus as he reflected on what will be done in the days to come. Also…

This was back in the days of Abraham according to Genesis 14:18. It became Jerusalem during the time of David. In addition…

King David declared Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and as Zion. Soon after, the first temple was built by King Solomon -son of David.  Unfortunately…

Jerusalem has gone through a sea of wars starting with Babylon (Iraq),  Followed up by the Greeks, with a brutal  invasion that sacked the city and desecrated the temple. After a bloody struggle to freedom, the Roman empire seizes control.

KING HEROD

Under Roman rule king Herod renovates the second temple but corrupt officials and malpractices led to a revolt which destroyed the temple. The Jews were then banned from Jerusalem -their own city.

Israel has always espoused freedom to the native and stranger alike. As a matter of fact, it is engraved in the Holy scriptures and is cultural to do so. Example:

Love  the stranger: for you were strangers in the land of Egypt

As a matter of fact Israel and Jerusalem are inseparable. It’s impossible to think about Israel and not Jerusalem just as it’s impossible to associate Jerusalem with any other group or culture  but Israel. Issac is the child of the promise -Not Ismael! Jerusalem is the city of the Great King from the line of David and the order of Melchezidek
